(NOTE: Since this post was first written, I have since abandoned Super for the far superior Movavi Video Converter which will do everything Super does, but is much easier to use and obviously much easier to download. It even rips DVDs which Super cannot do. It’s not free like Super, but it’s well worth the cheap $30. Trust me on this one!)
Ever get stuck in an endless loop, trying to download video converter, Super? Here’s how to break the loop.
I’ve never once been able to download it using Firefox, so if I were you I wouldn’t even bother trying.
Basically, you need to add the download site to your trusted sites in IE. But wait! I said the download site. Although it may appear that you are downloading directly from the www.erightsoft.com domain, you will actually be downloading from gpl.download.free.fr/Super.html so go ahead and point your browser there now.
Once you are on the right domain, open up your internet options and click the ’security’ tab. Then hit the ‘trusted sites’ icon and add the current domain (be sure to un-check the option that requires it to be an https site). Now that gpl.download.free.fr has been added to your trusted sites list, change your trusted sites level to ‘Low.’
Now all you need to do is scroll to the bottom of the page and click ‘Start Downloading SUPER’ which will take you to http://gpl.download.free.fr/Superdc.html where you will see a link that says ‘download and use’ near the top of the screen. Click that and it will take you to http://gpl.download.free.fr/S6Kg1.html where you will see the download links at the bottom of the screen. Why didn’t I have you go there to begin with instead of clicking all these links? Well, the good people of erightsoft (or whoever they are) don’t want you to download Super from anywhere but on their site, so they check the referrer of how you got to the download page and if you don’t get there in the order I described above, you will be redirected to the begining and have to start all over.
Happy video converting!

Thanks for information
Perfect job
Thank you so much. This was quite helpful, now that I can finally put an end to the unending cycle.
Hey thanks, i finally got this thing to work.
Thanks for the info… but ive never actually had a problem downloading it with firefox…. im not sure exactly whats preventing you, regardless, the site is confusing as hell…
http://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html#Dnload
click “start downloading super” near the bottom
then “download and use” at the top
then download “super setup file” at the bottom. maybe its outdated now but as long as ive been using it, its always been that order.
Stupid! Stupid to do all this, which ultimately gives them no benefit and causes such frustration. Thank you for the help.
OMG you are quite possibly my biggest life saver ever!!! what a biatch the site was being until i read this…
THANK YOU!!!
is it possible that we din notice the download link in the first place? or it’s nt there?

I just wasted 10 minutes of my life trying to download the installer from erightsoft.com, in fairness what a badly designed website, I give up
Thank you SO much!
Thanks for taking the time to solve this stupid problem.. I gave up and just downloaded it from majorgeeks.
I can’t believe that they are so stupid to protect it in a way they actually motivate people to download it somewhere else
Firefox works fine– just be careful when following links.
Thank u Very Much for the information
Thanks for this. Was really scratching my head over this problem.
Thanks! Couldn’t figure out what the problem was!
Thanks so much man!
thanks for the info on sorting out this mess
It’s still not working for me.At the very end, when I click the setup link on my computer, my computer blocks it and a little thing pops up saying the computer blocked it because it was going to install something with Active X or might be installing it. So I click “Allow blocked content” and the little message goes away, but still nothing happens. Can someone help?
yeah,(e)right.and when I launch the installer,my nvc(norman virus control)just get mad,and say there´s trojan named w32/banload.gen10 in it.this is first time nvc alerted ever(2years in this machine).I know super is great program, and I very much like to have it.anyone having problem like this?
THANKS FOR THE INFORMATION.VERY USEFULL INFORMATION.
That website is the WORST I have seen in a very long time (and that’s saying something). Beyond being fugly as sin, it looks like it was organized by someone with a brain disorder. Let’s hope the guy programs better.
Program nice, website, pure crap!
download from here without trouble:
http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_encoders/super.cfm
I tried the afterdawn.com site, but I scanned it with Norton AntiVirus and it said there was a virus. I would NOT use that site. I guess I’m back to using SUPER’s site, regardless as to how painful it is…
Download your copy from this site it’s french but you won’t have any trouble to download it:
http://www.freewr.com/freeware.php?download=super&lid=2756
Download the 2008 build 30 (Mar 23, 2008) from http://www.videohelp.com/tools/SUPER
dudes, all ya gotta do is go to softpedia.com and they have a direct link to download this. they have a separate secure site for us and eu.
Thanks alot for the 2am loop break. Would like to know how long it took you to break this

I have used Movavi as well, and I highly recommend it.
I followed you suggestion and paid for that movavi.
what a bad choice.
1)no support for my nintendo-ds
2)no support for any input flv file encoded with ADPCM audio
3)do not support any 3GP input encoded with AMR audio (nokia phones)
4)do not even recognize my Sharp camescope produced .TS files
5)do not support any Realmedia file
6)has no option to download internet rtsp protocole for RealMedia streams (from BBC)
Not only I lost what I paid, but I get back to super to find again the best encoder/player ever made.
PS, I don’t know what exactly you are doing but I have downloaded it with my Firefox in a glance.
Cheers
marc
Anybody know how to contact Super?
I’ve tried registering/logging onto the forum but keep having problem actually posting a new topic question.
I have 3gp files from a Motorola V330 phone that I want to convert to wmv or whatever can play on Windows XP but keep getting an error code on Super.
thx
Thanks for download instructions.. I was going bonkers thinking I was more then just computer illerate….I DOWLOADED THE PRISM THINKING THAT WAS IT..ugh - very smooth following your help!
This also worked for me..
http://www.erightsoft.info/GetFile.php?SUPERsetup.exe
I dunno, I never had any trouble dl-ing SUPER (maybe because I use Opera) but I go nutz from the frustration of using SUPER. The UI stinks, the options are obscure, there is no meaningful progress bar, no preview, no filesize calculator, it is so s-l-o-w, it takes 99% of CPU so you can’t do anything else while it’s running… the list goes on and on. The support forum is useless as it has no search capability, so it’s very hard to tell if your question has already been asked.
And why is eright so anxious to give SUPER away? They must have some hidden way of making money off it.
I’m tempted to try movavi as suggested, but Marc (above) gives it a pretty bad writeup.
Pretty good info, i dont understand why they do all this procedure…
thanks!
Hi all
I am trying to get onto the gpl download website and it is telling me this does not exist. My question is that I have some videos that I downloaded from the Zune sire and want to convert them to avi so I can burn them to DVD and use onmy work computer (which will not allow me to install the Zune software on). Will SUPER allowme to do this??? Thanks for any help you can give me….
