How to download Super from erightsoft
(NOTE: Since this post was first written, I have since abandoned Super for the far superior Movavi Video Converter which will do everything Super does, but is much easier to use and obviously much easier to download. It even rips DVDs which Super cannot do. It’s not free like Super, but it’s well worth the cheap $30. Trust me on this one!)
Ever get stuck in an endless loop, trying to download video converter, Super? Here’s how to break the loop.
I’ve never once been able to download it using Firefox, so if I were you I wouldn’t even bother trying.
Basically, you need to add the download site to your trusted sites in IE. But wait! I said the download site. Although it may appear that you are downloading directly from the www.erightsoft.com domain, you will actually be downloading from gpl.download.free.fr/Super.html so go ahead and point your browser there now.
Once you are on the right domain, open up your internet options and click the ’security’ tab. Then hit the ‘trusted sites’ icon and add the current domain (be sure to un-check the option that requires it to be an https site). Now that gpl.download.free.fr has been added to your trusted sites list, change your trusted sites level to ‘Low.’
Now all you need to do is scroll to the bottom of the page and click ‘Start Downloading SUPER’ which will take you to http://gpl.download.free.fr/Superdc.html where you will see a link that says ‘download and use’ near the top of the screen. Click that and it will take you to http://gpl.download.free.fr/S6Kg1.html where you will see the download links at the bottom of the screen. Why didn’t I have you go there to begin with instead of clicking all these links? Well, the good people of erightsoft (or whoever they are) don’t want you to download Super from anywhere but on their site, so they check the referrer of how you got to the download page and if you don’t get there in the order I described above, you will be redirected to the begining and have to start all over.
Happy video converting!

click “start downloading super” near the bottom
then “download and use” at the top
then download “super setup file” at the bottom. maybe its outdated now but as long as ive been using it, its always been that order.

I can’t believe that they are so stupid to protect it in a way they actually motivate people to download it somewhere else

what a bad choice.
1)no support for my nintendo-ds
2)no support for any input flv file encoded with ADPCM audio
3)do not support any 3GP input encoded with AMR audio (nokia phones)
4)do not even recognize my Sharp camescope produced .TS files
5)do not support any Realmedia file
6)has no option to download internet rtsp protocole for RealMedia streams (from BBC)
Not only I lost what I paid, but I get back to super to find again the best encoder/player ever made.
PS, I don’t know what exactly you are doing but I have downloaded it with my Firefox in a glance.
Cheers

I have 3gp files from a Motorola V330 phone that I want to convert to wmv or whatever can play on Windows XP but keep getting an error code on Super.

And why is eright so anxious to give SUPER away? They must have some hidden way of making money off it.
I’m tempted to try movavi as suggested, but Marc (above) gives it a pretty bad writeup.

I am trying to get onto the gpl download website and it is telling me this does not exist. My question is that I have some videos that I downloaded from the Zune sire and want to convert them to avi so I can burn them to DVD and use onmy work computer (which will not allow me to install the Zune software on). Will SUPER allowme to do this??? Thanks for any help you can give me….

I will never use or buy anything from that company again. The people there must be exactly like the IT computer nerd in the old Saturday Night Live skits. Do they sit around after work laughing at all the trouble and consternation they cause to potential customers?
I will take a closer look at Tongue and Groove.

The guy loops you through his pages in hopes that you mistakenly click one of his ads. Cannot imagine what the UI of the program is like.
Not worth the hastle.

thanx a billion for the tip, what a stoopid site, shame cos ive used an earlier version of super (2006) AND IT SOLVED PROBLEMS OTHER STUFF WOULDNT TOUCH. sorry about caps bad keyboard
I recorded many old vhs tapes using the ADS tech video capture box (which works ok to get around the vhs copy protection (forgot the name, its a common problem) BUT it save the files in an unusual VOB format, making it impossible to use discs on a set top player, you can only use on a pc which is not convenient. Basically the first vob is corrupted to an NTSC nonj standard format with a wierd aspect ration (you get 2 frames on the same screen). Basically you have to re-encode the first vob using super and then I convert to VCD format (cos it was that resolution in the first place) the results are perfectly satisfactory on a domestic crt tv. remember that old vhs tapes can be very jittery at the beginning which i guess can throw the encoder. However i have some really difficult vobs that wont play ball
I have found that these so-called DVD mset top recorders are very quirky and you arent sure to get a dvd disc that will play anywhere else. Sometimes it can take 3 days to recover a prized DVD!!! Its a very slow busines that absorbs all my cpu power, so i have to get another pc for my other stuff. I have over 500 old movies i want to archive, cant get them anymore realistically, so about 2 years work ahead of me
perhaps the newer version of Super will help.
cheers
btw I am strictly a private collector (old comedies), why shouldnt I be able to save my stuff which I recorded legally in the first place. BTW I have found DVD media burnt on a pc to be very unreliable as storage medium. They fade and become unreadable in as little as 6 months. It takes up to an hour to burn a DVD and its a fraught business. In the old VCD format its dead simple, 6 mins for a full disc, no messing with menus and chapters etc I have given up on wasting time with DVDs

I followed your instructions and eventually manged to download and install the latest version of Super from eright
I believe it Trashed My Win Xp os. I now have to re-install my system on a reformatted C drive (Im not blaming you or your site). This malware even went to the trouble of deleting all my restore points prior to installing Super nd has changed my hardware database (which invokes WPA. It invoked the Windows Product Approval system which then invalidated my XP because I have made many hardware changes since it was first installed anyway
I was suspicious because I have never come across such an obtuse web site for downloading a product as evidenced from all the problem above.
IMHO Dont touch this product except at your peril, someone has gone to some sophisticated trouble to create this trash for me.
Eright is therefore very suspect in my opinion

the warnings from both firewalls and anti virus etc.. when you try to install super.
However I dicided to ignore all that and give it a try anyway.
A stupid decicion I realized later.
Why?
Well..me whole machine seems to be corrupted after installing.
So I went to the erightsoft site forum trying to find some answers.
Once there I found the issue asked about many times, but some so
called moderator denies all problems and malware warnings in full.
His only advice was and is..if you don’t like or thrust super, then just
wipe it out again, and so I did.
After reinstalling me o.s me lappy worked fine again…as it did before
installing the super shit..that is.
So..me advice to anyone reading this is to stay away from installing
Super,it has indeed malware behaviour as reported by me firewall.
Me a.v tells me there is a trojan.
The guys from Super tel you it’s a lie and blame F.W and A.V for NOT
recognizing what is going on.
They clame to have 9 million users..all very satisfied..ofcourse.
Or was it 9 billion?
Ha..ha..ha…hah!!
What a joke.
Don’t waste your time on it and stay healthy!

Go to the main erightsoft site, click on Freeware -> Super -> Download.
On the next page click “Start Downloading Super”
On the next page click Download and Use.
Done.
Yes, their site is a jumbled mess, but it’s not hard to find the links. Using Firefox 3 & no problems downloading it.
So far it works just fine, didn’t wipe out any restore points, hasn’t tried to contact any outside pages except for the eRightSoft page when it starts up which is easily blocked by any firewall worthy of the name. It’s only hiccuped on one rmvb conversion to Xvid. Is it the easiest to use? Well, that depends on your experience. If you’re used to using freeware stuff then yes, Super won’t be difficult to figure out (though right clicking for all the menu options is weird). If you’ve never used freeware tools, especially the older ones, then Super will be difficult for you to use at first. It’s not a one-click-finished process.

The install package from the super site contains 0 viruses.
You might get a virus from other sites, but thats what you pay for when you try to get around eRightSoft’s stupid, idiotic, and crappy download page.
Program is great, site is crude.

I am a big fan of SUPEr and been using it for 2 years, first on XP and lately on Vista. Never had any issue. I encode MKVs and WMVs to my iPod.
I have copied the following text message from another forum:

MEncoder official website has listed SUPER as related projects under Windows: http://www.mplayerhq.hu/design7/projects.html
Microsoft official website identifies SUPER as Vista compatible:
